Missed Music Monday – 06-24-24

morning babble / Monday 06-24-24

DISCLAIMER:

This is the scribble that leads to the babble.

Sometimes, it gets tidied up; other times, not so much.

When all else fails: there’s video!

(“All I Want Is You” clip)

Its been 6 years since the band – The Decemberists – came out with a new album. Their 9th studio album was released a little more than a week ago. I’m a little late.

(Missed Music Monday opener)

As found on their Wikipedia page, Colin Meloy (lead singer) has stated that the name – The Decemberists – is meant to invoke the “drama and melancholy” of the month of December. I wish it would invoke some cooler temps here in June.

(“Burial Ground” clip)

That’s Track #1 – “Burial Ground” – one of my favorites. By the way, definitely a modern day prog rock feel on Track #13 which does take up nearly 20 minutes of the album which is called: As It Ever Was, So It Will Be Again.

Please subscribe on YouTube and spread the Babble wherever you can – Thank you!

Tune in tomorrow for: Quote of the Day!
