Happy Weekend – FYI – last one for April. Months are moving along. AND – it’s not too late to get what I wanted most-est for Christmas this past year (clip) I dropped a lot of hints for this one. The National with their live album – ROME – wish I was one of those people in the crowd. Wouldn’t that be a good story? (clip) I actually special ordered this from my favorite local record store – Rainbow Records in Newark, DE. I’ve been hoping that it would just appear there the past several months. There’s always something about pulling a record out that you’ve wanted. I ordered it. Could have done Amazon – but won’t. Always support local – for me again – Rainbow Records. (clip)

New Music Weekend:
- Early March, Benson Boone gave us a new song called “Sorry I’m Here for Someone Else” (clip) Coming up in June, he’ll be performing at the Governors Ball Festival in New York. Also coming up in June but a little later in the month – the 20th. We get his new album – American Heart (picture of the album cover) Oh to be young again. Who am I kidding I never looked like that. I run a 5K Every Day and can’t get that look. Don’t worry – we’re shifting away from me. Back to Benson Boone (picture again) – he dropped the 2nd single of this new album which he did debut at Coachella – here’s “Mystical Magical” (clip)
- The band bearing the label “South Wales’ loudest group” has just dropped their sophomore album. (clip) The sound of James and The Cold Gun is commonly compared to that of the Foo Fighters and Queens Of The Stone Age, which basically means – they rock (clip) Face in the Mirror is the name of the album – 10 songs in all from the Welsh Band. Song being highlighted on Spotify is the title track “Face in the Mirror” – and you know who signed this band to his record label – Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard. - Just last month, renforshort released a song that I thought had a catchy hook to it (clip) That’s “Pretend to Like Me.” Now back in November of 2024, she had “on my way!” drop (clip) Both these songs are half of the EP album – a girl’s experience – that’s coming at us on June 6th. Today though, we do get a third tune – that’s 3/4ths of the album. Song is “Feeling Good” – this is renforshort (clip)
- Several quick hits of new music: I enjoy The Grunge Bible Podcast. Also, follow them on Instagram where I’m tied into their chat group – which is nicely titled “Grunge Bible Study.” Within our bible study, they suggested listening to Beach Bunny and their new album that is out for everyone to enjoy – Tunnel Vision // The song “Everything Must Make Sense” actually came out earlier this month – Missed Music Monday anyone? – from The Sherlocks but it’s also the title track of their upcoming album which will drop in its entirety on May 16th // I cannot let this one slip me by – the Kiwi Singer who hasn’t had a new song in 4 years has finally dropped one. In case you didn’t know, New Zealanders are known as Kiwis. Who’s from there? Lorde and here’s her new song “What Was That” (clip)
