morning babble / Wednesday 01-26-22
This is the scribble that leads to the babble. Sometimes, it gets tidied up; but other times, not so much. When all else fails: watch the video!
Trouble running on the mill today. I should say “finishing” on the mill. On Saturday, I had to cut short my 5K run because we had to leave sooner than I thought for our evening. So – I only did like 20 minutes of running. Today, flashes of that went through my head. “Hey – I could cut this short.” No – I want to do a 5K. “But I don’t have to, do I?” It was a little battle going on in my head. Last year’s goal of 5K every day made it an unthinkable act of cutting a run short. After doing that for a full year, I never imagined NOT doing a 5K when I’m running . . . until this past Saturday. Today, I almost did it again. I called in to the bullpen and played some Run the Jewels.
340 days until EXIT PLAN
The 26th – couple things about today.
- It’s officially over a month since Christmas – take down the tree.
- Happy Birthday to my big brother Keith. Back in high school, when I played baseball, I always kept a newspaper clipping of him in my back pocket of the uniform. It inspired me. It helped push me harder. I wanted to be just as good as he was in baseball. He batted left though and being a righty, I was just never going to be that cool.
